GAVI’S RESPONSE
Respond and protect: With COVID-19 now being reported in virtually all Gavi-eligible countries, the Vaccine Alliance is stepping in to help governments protect health care workers, conduct essential surveillance and training, and obtain diagnostic testing.
Gavi will help countries adjust and restart immunisationservices, recover community trust, and catch up on those who were missed both before and during the epidemic, as well as invest in building immunisation systems to make them more robust and responsive to the communities they serve.
Gavi is co-leading COVAX, a worldwide initiative to secure an effective and equitable global response to COVID-19, and is utilizing its unique expertise to assist identify and swiftly speed the development, production, and distribution of COVID-19 vaccines so that anybody who needs them may obtain them.
